Cryo Save Arabia

Headquartered in Dubai Biotechnology and Research Park (UAE), Cryo-Save Arabia, the Middle East’s first private Cord Blood Stem Cell Bank was officially launched on September 11, 2006, by the UAE Minister of Health, Humaid Mohammed Obaid Al Qutami. Cryo-Save Arabia is a partnership between Al-Zahrawi Group and Cryo-Save Group, Europe’s largest Stem Cell Bank.
Cryo-Save Arabia specializes in the collection, isolation and storage of stem cells from umbilical cord blood. It owns and operates the region’s largest and state-of-the-art private laboratory and cryogenic preservation facility that is dedicated and designed exclusively for the collection, high-quality processing and long-term storage of stem cells found in the umbilical cord blood of newborns.
Cryo-Save Arabia’s facility set-up fully mirrors that of Belgium-based Cryo-Save, the largest, most experienced and trusted newborn cord blood cell bank in Europe. Other than the UAE, Cryo-Save is present in 38 countries and has cord blood stem cell banking facilities in Belgium, Germany, France and India. To-date, over 120,000 parents have chosen Cryo-Save for the storage of their newborns’ cord blood stem cells.
As the first private cord blood stem cell bank to be instituted in the United Arab Emirates, Cryo-Save Arabia is licensed and regulated by Dubai Biotechnology and Research Park (DuBiotech) and subject to their stringent regulations and inspections. Cryo-Save Arabia has recently received official accreditation by the American Association of Blood Banks ("AABB") after satisfyingly passing all of the quality and operational systems assessment required to become the region's first AABB Accredited Cord Blood Stem Cell Bank.
